We are thrilled to unveil our new mascot, KoRang, a creative collaboration between The Komu and renowned Singaporean illustrator and visual artist, Toby Tan, better known as Tobyato. This partnership has brought together the unique elements of The Komu, Tobyato’s distinctive artistic style, and the rich cultural heritage of Bali, resulting in a mascot that embodies the essence of all three.

The Birth of KoRang

KoRang is more than just a mascot; it is a symbol of our identity and the vibrant community we serve. The name “KoRang” is derived from “Komu” and “Rangda,” seamlessly blending our brand with an iconic figure from Balinese mythology. Who is Rangda?

Rangda is a legendary figure in Balinese culture, often depicted as a powerful and fearsome witch. She is a central character in many traditional Balinese performances and is revered as a protector against evil spirits. The integration of Rangda into our mascot not only pays homage to Bali’s rich cultural heritage but also symbolizes strength, protection and creativity.
